Frida's Journal

I found it in the Spanish language section of my local library. It was the cover that caught my eye. But it what was on the pages that had me hooked. Frida recording her longings, feelings, ideas, plans, frustrations in word & pictures; and all those pictures make it a heavy book. She created an "art journal" in 1952-53, long before they became in vogue. And there many references to Diego (Rivera); the man she had trouble living with but couldn't live without.

This book is worth the effort just for the delicious artwork, but a plus for those of us who only know English, it's all translated for us.
