A demonstration in watercolor.
Danny Gamble came from Canyon, TX to do several demos for students and guests. After years of turning out paintings to stock his art show booths, Danny is able to finish paintings in no time; a real whiz with a brush. And Danny's signature to his WC's is that he uses opaque Gouache along with the traditional transparent colors, and then a splash of metallic acrylic just for fun.
The students had many questions about his technique and career, and some where inspired enough to try to imitate what he did.

ART JUBILEE is the biggest event of the year for the OPSU Art Dept. Bryan Test, David Elder, Yvonne Sangster, Larry Wiggins, and Brent Shoulders put in a lot of time and effort to make this event a success. And the Images art club members get involved too.
One of the highlights for me is the student art show. I love to see how creative these students can be. Here are a few examples from this year's show. I didn't necessarily pick the winners or the ones that I thought were the best; I picked the ones that would photograph best.

Collin Rosebrook doing some serious welding during his metal sculpture demo.
Actually art goes on constantly at OPSU, but the second week of April the place really jumps. It is the time for ART JUBILEE. First of all guests are invited. This year the guest artists were Collin Rosebrook and Danny Gamble. They both did artist demos; pics to follow. High school students & teachers are invited; several hundred usually show up. The students attend demos, enter contests, make art, and see what a campus art dept. is like. Watch for the pics over the next few days.
