The Art of Animation

It was February of 1940 when Walt Disney released the animated full length feature Pinocchio. It was done during the Golden Age of animation, when everything was hand drawn over & over again.

The story of based on Carlo Collodi's  classic children's story about a puppet who wants to be a boy.

Unfortunately because of WWII the film was only released domestically and was not a financial success. But fortunately it was a critical success for the song " When You Wish Upon a Star" sung by Jiminy Cricket, because it received two Oscars.

This movie also introduced us to the elusive Blue Fairy that AI searched for eons later.
