Fra Angelico

The Resurrection of Christ

Fra Angelico (c.1395-1455) was an Italian Renaissance painter. While serving the Lord he decorated churches with frescos both in Florence & Rome. This work is at San Marco in Florence. 

I was in Florence in 2007 but arrived at the church during afternoon siesta. I was sad that I was unable to see this and other works by an artist that I have admired for many years. 

But I have experienced the resurrection & that's better than seeing a painting.
