A big event in Tulsa this week is the John Brooks Walton estate sale. Architect John Brooks Walton was quite a collector; and this former office space was jammed packed full of eclectic stuff. I, along with some friends, and a long line of others, waited 70 min. just to get in the door.
Mr. Walton was also a painter & sculptor, and produced a number of picturesque books on the subject of architecture. He was born in Ponca City, OK., and did his part to refurnish the Marland Manson. There's plenty more about him via Google & Youtube. An interesting guy with a long career.
