National Sibling Day

Here's a day we should pay attention to if we are fortunate enough to have siblings.

I've been studying the portraits of Vincent Van Gogh, and was reminded of the special relationship that Vincent and his younger brother, Theo, had: Vincent, the tormented but brilliant artist, and Theo, the supporter and art dealer. This unique relationship came to light through their letters (read them sometime; they have been published). 
Vincent would paint and Theo would send encouragement, money, and supplies. If it weren't for his brother Vincent may have committed suicide much earlier, and we would be without some wonderful artwork.
