Art Where You Find It
Out to do morning errands and this is the first interesting thing that I came across.
A walk around this vehicle
gives you eye candy
at every angle.
But is beauty in the eye of the beholder or
in the mind of the creator?

Celebrate Art!
Any day is a great day to celebrate art.
A new book in the library is Art of the 20th Century. I love this kind of book that is full of so many examples. The librarian even commented on how heavy it is: good paper. It is a treat to flip through page after page of paintings, three dimensional art and architecture, all in full color. And then there is plenty of commentary on artists, art movements and materials.
Because this is a new book it can only be checked out for a week at a time. That's only enough time to scratch the surface.

Art Show
At the end of a successful BART Summer Arts Program there is always a student art show. Sunday afternoon the art center was buzzing with kids, parents and other guests.
And here are a few examples of the artwork. Students have lots of opportunity to draw, paint and model clay.
