Salisbury Cathedral
In just 10 days I'll be in Salisbury, so I visited the web site to check out what was happening at the cathedral. Recently artists have been invited to show contemporary work in this traditional setting. Now showing ~ Conflux: a union of th Sacred and the Anonymous, sculpture be Sean Henry. I captured a sample.
If the church is trying to be revelant in the 21st century it must be relevant to people in their everyday lives. This exhibit shows people caught in natural positions; is God with them?
Unfortunately the exhibit ends just a few days before I get there, so I must enjoy it via the web. Hope you enjoy it too. http://www.salisburycathedral.org.uk/

Quote of the Week

Blue House
The little blue house (yesterday's post). I discovered it on the way to somewhere a couple years ago. It was an overcast day and I thought the house would stand out better against a blue sky; it was several months latter before this pic was taken. But I have since decided that the color may have looked stronger against the overcast sky. I passed the house on Monday and the color had faded, and I am sad about it.
